Square, oblong, bow-tied and tongue-tied. surreptitiously placed in and out of view. Discovered and uncovered.

To give – wrapped up is more than the gift: the inflammation of the imagination, the selection among all the rejections, the anxiety of choice of colour, size, quality and taste.

Giving is a reward in itself, elfless yet elfish.
