Poetry It calmed my mind

To be there, lake edge, sun shining, waves lapping
To be there, with you, Tobi and Pom-Pom
To be there, wind rushing the leaves into yellow and brown.
It calmed my mind to be there, with you.

For others the lights are brightly shining
For us, the lights are growing dim
But to be there along side of you
Brightened the sepia picture we were in.

Sauntering through woods on a path well trod
Crunching leaves underfoot,
the scent of trees wondering winter comes
It calmed me to be there.
